A year in Bangalore

Exactly 12 months ago, the Artnavy family made its way from Chennai to Bangalore. From the Marina to Cubbon From Parfait to Egg Factory From Saravana Bhavan to Vidhyarthi Bhavan From Vandalur to Bannerghata From Navadisha to Akshara As you can see, it has been a good year. A year ago I had said-"Have been unable to capture all the emotions that I feel about the move - muddled, expectant, excited, disturbed, hopeful, nostalgic....mostly happy that we will be together as a family ....The house is almost fully set and once again I feel that it is the people who make it a home" I cannot agree more. Thank you Aditi and Anushka for adapting easily and my folks for being there and enabling my work life. And Navy for being around a lot more than in Chennai. This year we had - A few excursions exploring Karnataka Many trips to grandparents' home A handful of birthday parties Some family functions inluding our first Golu Bonding with old friends, including a few blog meets Growth and acceptance as a work from home employee( though with some niggling doubts)Countless weekly trips to Chennai for me Eating out a bit and watching movies rarely Enjoying a resort like weather and existence Thank you Bangalore.

I want to second DC's thoughts on how wonderful it is that you are able to accept a city and learn to enjoy it...unlike the many people I've seen grumble about my city and its traffic and its language and everything else! Cheeres to you and your lovely daughters!
