First visit to Mother Earth store and was wowed. Like a friend put it , a bit over priced Dastkaar- but easy access and all under one roof all year round- so I am not complaining.
Jeeva was in her element at the Tulika Panchtantra story telling and Anush made a reluctant deer who went under the net in her favourite story Four friends. Got to meet the surprisingly young Nivie, the really graceful Radhika and the bubbly Tulika blog bird in person.... and some more.
Aditi had her first heart wrenching wound/ bruise very similar to Anush's when she had been a similar age- on her inner jaw- for once I am not feeling bad that she is teething so slow...else she may have lost her milk tooth early I guess. Everyone is reassuring me it will heal soon. Hope so.
Following in her big sis's footsteps she also managed to pull off her earrings ( twice so far) and the this time is refusing to let us put it on again. And yeah I forgot to register here that she weaned off breast milk without fuss ( like Anush again) , but contrary to our expectation, at 13 months.
Visited my friend N and his family and was very pleased to note the next gen getting along really fine. The previous week we had been to Fun City courtesy another friend U who has not changed one bit over the years. Cheers to both of them!
And Happy Children's day ! My gift to Anush- she will have her paati back from Mumbai by tonight!

Mother Earth is lovely isn't it, and yes overpriced too especially if one has bought at source or been to exhibitions.
How I wish I could've been at the Tulika event and seen everyone in the flesh. Hopefully soon. It seems to have been a muhurtham day with so many things happening at the same time. Maybe because it was the first weekend after Diwali + Children's day
aaaww.. I like the way you say.. 'next gen getting along fine'.. thats super cute!!
Oh.. and I love that Mother Earth store.. but I think its ridiculously priced..
Poor baby. How did she manage to hurt herself?
Yay on the weaning! We have a while to go...
Yup same feelings re Mother Earth. Took a firang friend once, she LOVED it.
Sounds like the Tulika event was fun :) Pix?
And hope Aditi gets okay soon.
Oh, I hope the bonda is alright. Great that she has been weaned, but You'll miss it more than her is my guess. Hugs to her and her big sis.
Met the Tulika bird at the morning session. Was wowed by Jeeva's performance too! It was great once again to put faces to names.
Hope Aditi's bruise is healing now. Coincidentally Lily fell and hurt herself on Deepavali day. There was a gash in the inside of her lips and a lot of blood. These kind of wounds heal quicker Art, so she'll be all right in no time. Kisses to the darling....
thanks all
Aditi is absolutely fine as far as the jaw gash is concerned
but she is still refusing to wear the earring...i guess will need to visit the doc/ jeweller- no way out...

Hope Aditi recovers soon. Narad send kisses her way.
Hey Art. Was great to meet you too. The graceful Radhika just had a good laugh over the adjective given to her. The Tulika blog bird is a little stunned at having been described as 'bubbly' but its all good:)Hope Aditi is ok now.
@Chox Pics coming soon on Facebook:)
shankari
yeah- it worked- she is well and the earring is on
tulikabird
ur online persona is positively bubbly. :-)
and if Radhika is laughing over the choice of adjective then what will happen to poor souls like me!!
it seems a great weekend for you. Cool.

I think they are expected to lose against the top teams, but may be more nerve wracking against someone you know you can beat and need to do so. I've seen many teams prove that all you need to do is out hustle the bigger teams and you have a good chance at stealing something.
It seems to be a very great week end... I'm jealous. Hope can go to this kind of vintage festival...
Your swirls are amazing.
Excellent blog and great post
