Our cupcake's cupcake party

We celebrated Aditi's birthday with close family ( missed my father a lot) and some friends.

Aditi has been a bit unwell but did not create a fuss at all and infact enjoyed herself once some of the crowd moved out and there was space for her to move around. Her sister Anushka's gifts to her included a baby toothbrush( demo free), a Nemo ball and a teddy bear.

Flowers and balloons ( of course, novelty was a helium filled one), cocktail umberellas and colourful cupcakes livened up the decor. Lots of fun craft using crepe ribbons happened and added to Anush's already large efforts at room decoration. We also had a quiz " Know Aditi" and a photo collage which had to be rearranged date wise. Anush played Tattoo artist to a delightfully messy effect. I made a photo-video for Aditi and hope she understands how much she means to us when she sees it years later.

We had pasta arrabiata , caramel popcorn , matri puris- all home made. And vadas and carrot cake for those who stayed on late. Apart from cookies, cupcakes and the birthday cake.

The much anticipated photo cake was yummy -from the Baking institue here and I HIGHLY reccomend that you visit their website for more details. They also provided me with coloured butter creams and sugar craft for the cucpcake decoration activity that we had. The header is a sample of what Anush and I put up so that other kids could follow suit. Some came up with better stuff as well.

Could not help thinking back to Anushka's first birthday where we had a HUGE do with all my office friends there ...now in Blore that was not possible. But what we did have was a cosy, warm affair with the kids having a gala time and enough time for me to actually talk even while I was hosting .... a rare occurrence. Among the blogger junta, Sandhya and Apu came over and it was great catching up with them.

My dear Aditi- Get well soon baby and wish you health and happiness always!
