No 'shoe'ing matter

Long ago I had done this post on the bane of being tall in india

Anush is tall but by no means super tall for this generation unlike IBH's little doll.

Yet I find it difficult to get kid shoes her size.
Clothes meant for her age are not long enough but if I buy the next size they are too loose.

Still Anush likes being tall and like me she aspires to be as tall as her father one day!

The other day while I passed through airport security, one guard was remaking to the other that he has to go to Aligarh to get size 13 shoes!! Well shoe companies and dressmakers never seem to upgrade the average size and range of sizes required by the population.

:-) This post made me smile a lot! Sure she will be as tall as her dad, if not taller!

I have the same problem with my daughter. And the dumb shop assistants make my life more miserable by insisting that a 9-year-old ought to wear a particular size.

My prob is pretty much the opposite. Often my 5 ft 0" and abnormally small feet send salesmen scurrying to the kids section to get me shoes :(

Loved the header. Anush looks lovely :)
KT's tall for her age too and most of the people we meet think she is at least 5! We still manage to get shoes her size but clothes? Those which suit her in length are too loose at the waist.
