Star Power

There have been power cuts every now and then this summer. Despite that people find new ways to waste it. In particular octogenarians of political repute who celebrate their bday by lighting up the already lit city roads.

Anyway have begun to enjoy our breezy terrace as a result. And star and plane gazing.

Saw a very luminous moving object - a satellite?- last night around 7.15pm.

since i have just watched 'cars' let me pick up a line from it - sometimes its good to get lost because you are forced to slow down. i think the same applies to power cuts. you are forced to stop doing 'meaningful' stuff and do things like staring at the sky as you mention! i remember when we were kids we had great fun when the power went off. everyone in the neighbourhood would gather and play antakshari or some such!

a colleague confirmed that some news channel said it was a satellite

ur r right namvor- we often have "no time to stand and stare"

your post brought back memories of the time I ws doing my project staying at my cousin's place in Kod'bkkm. I so looooved the dark night sky with the stars twinkling...and yeah, it used to be so nice and cool up on the terrace. Sigh. Now I have my own flat and my own terrace, but no time to 'stand and stare' as you very aptly put it. Sigh! the price of achieving certain things in life!
