congratulations!! i know the feeling...we got ours two and a half years after marriage and i was four months pregnant. i was adamant on getting it before bonbon was born coz i wanted our baby to be "legitimate" on paper ....it's a weird logic!
not having a certificate gave me the perfect reason for sticking to my maiden name ;) and now i've used it so copiously that changing to N's name will make things worse, so i'm happy! muuuuaahahahahaha...that's my evil laugh!

Seems a bit odd. Here we get the certificate before the marriage and then everyone signs it right after the ceremony.
alan- here we have a religious ceremony with a lot of relatives and friends- like in the movies
the registration was made mandatory only recently
