After waiting two years to do Golu ( last year I had just delivered), now I am not sure if it is wise to proceed with Aditi being so curious around stuff. Don't want either the doll or the dolls getting hurt!!
We need to do an odd number of steps I am told. So I want to set up one step at least. Make a beginning . But some people say we need to do a minimum of 3 steps. And either way the duration would be 11 days.
Watch this space for an update trow if we did it or not....

oh. what a coincidence. am just thinking about it and asked mom.. apparently we can even keep golu for the last 3 days also ;-) (there is always some work around). But I guess I will start it from next yr. apparently, if we start it once, we are supposed to maintain the tradition every yr...
Go for it , I say ! When Dhruv was little , we had a smallish 3-step golu with floor level being occupied by his esteemed toys forming a construction site theme . And the next year we did the whole thing - I remember you and Anush came then as well . Was fun - no such grand plans in Kolkata now .

yours was a grand one- very nice- but dhruv was over 3 by then- i am worried about aditi inadvertantly pulling stuff and getting hurt or some such- may cordon off that room for her ...hmmm...3 step may be doable
