Artnavy Combine presents...

The Artnavy production house has been busy and is on its way to a new release in early October. Ably supported and encouraged by their previous block buster - Anushka.

Phew! Finally made it official. At the Blogger's meet in March, I thought Itchy might notice and ask me. But she did not and no one else did. I guess they just assumed that is how fat I am.

I thought Anush may spill the beans but she did not (unlike at her school where she advertised her knowledge of graphic gynaecology-" Doctor aunty will cut open amma's stomach , remove the baby and then will stick up amma's stomach. There will be some blood but it will become alright" ......and at Navy's office, where she told all who did not care to listen as well)


While Navy knew the home test result first, Anush was the first to "see" the baby, since she accompanied me to my first doc visit/ scan.

My parents and Navy's family seemed surprised but happy and my grandma is thrilled. ( If your baby's "beautiful and perfect, never cries or fusses, sleeps on schedule and burps on demand, an angel all the time," you're the grandma)


Some of you will recollect that I was pretty indecisive about having a second one. Navy did not have an opinion either way, except that he was against adoption which was something I would have liked us to consider.

My first thought on testing positive for pregnancy was rather petty- that the much awaited Australia trip stands post poned indefinitely now! The anticipation of the first time was missing. But once I began feeling the movements, things changed. The implications continue to daunt and to thrill alternately... now I believe, that the baby chose to have us as its parents and I am thankful for that. ( The cynics can say we did not use birth control. )


The journey so far has been without hiccups. Touchwood. My mother continues to be my pillar of strength. Work goes on as usual for now, but a pregnancy break will mean some professional set backs, but I am fine with it and infact looking forward to a change from the routine.

Navy is okay with boy or girl as long as the baby is healthy. I would like a boy to balance the overload of women in the household. Anushka is excited and is very clear that she wants a sister.....more on this later.
