Pasanga(meaning kids) is a really good movie. It go 4 stars from TOI and gets 5 stars from me.

With an unknown cast of adults and a motley bunch of kids, it turned out to be the best Tamil movie I have seen in a long time.

Realistic and credible, without being arty or depressing, it is a movie about a bully and a new boy in school who craves encouragement. In this small town tale, there is a back drop of a truly fresh and cute romance and a bickering set of parents whose heart is in the rigth place

The toddler's antics are delightful....The converstaion between the 2 dads is something to watch out for. .....Actually the entire movie is full of moments to look out for. . .

The music is melodious with a slight been there , heard that feel. Balamurali's voice is so charged even at this age but seems under utilised in the song.

The end is very melodramatic like Revathi in "Love" was it? But that is excusable. The bully's screeching tone to highlight his immaturiy sometimes jars.

And if ever the Filmfare or any other award guys want to find the Darsheel of the south or today's Swami they will find 2 in this movie!

Influence, a new restaurant designed by Manish Malhotra has opened in Chennai but to a rather mixed review by The Hindu food critic whom I regard well. But still I wish to check it out sometime.

Thanks for doing the movie review... maybe we will go and watch it over the weekend. It has been almost 6 or 7 yrs since I stepped inside a cinema theater in Chennai!

And the one on Influence (in The Hindu) was a nice read as well. But as you said, not sure what to make of it... not a very flattering review. Almost scathing I felt...
