Some Kicks are nice
My first conversation with him was " Just how tall are you?" He turned out to be over 6ft tall , dark, bespectacled and attractive with a good sense of humor and a great way with me. He fit my dream guy criteria( still does) except that I was already with someone else.
During the packing up operation recently I found a " rose day" card he had given me in college in 1994!! I lived our entire friendship again as I read it...
Kicks this is for you-

Suddenly, I very much miss the friend my Hubby was before we got married to each other.....
Ah ! the college romances. They will forever be treasured coz they never had a chance to turn into the familiar and mundane that marriage sometimes becomes !!!

I think kids change the equation but with a little time and effort one can relive those moments

This with Kicks- I do not know if it was romance...it could not be.
A lot of friends thought it was though - including the guy I was going around with then:-)) ( so u know how that ended)
we felt we were like the 'odd couple' in "anything but love" which was a serial that was on air at that time
then I moved away from mumbai , met Navy who swept me off my feet (college romance-II)and Kicks met Apu who charmed him ....
we all stay good friends....with a "what if" that rarely crops up in a little corner of the brain...
LOL! this reads like a script of some Rahul Bose kind of movie
ah- the "what if" memories.. bitter sweet- arent they?
what happened to the other guy you were with? Are you still good friends?
