Double Bonanza

Saw the first episode of the Shah Rukh- hosted- Kaun Banega Crorepati 3.

Who gave him those lines?!! He said " People ask me what kind of coats will you wear. I would say to them- Any kind, even a petticoat, if the audience wants it."

The contestant - one of them appeared coached. Yes, I know some of us drool over SRK but this was clearly overdone.

And SRK gave away his over 1 lakh rupees worth Tag Heur. But he earns that much does he not? And he must have got it free from Tag Heur, he endorses the brand If I recollect right. So must wait and see if he gives every contestant a watch.

The only good thing was a Ganesh Hegde choreographed number as the title song- very Janet Jackson video meets Bollywood style.

I can sense all the SRK fans coming to hit me on this one- so i am going into hiding for a day.

As for the title of this post, much in SRK's self congratulatory style, it refers to the fact that I have posted 2 on a single day versus my "one a day".

no problem at all - take ur time

it began late here- only the third part now
- u recollect Siddarth Basu- he is the whiz behind the adaptation to india- it even gets dubbed into tamil!!

I was waiting to hear about the yet again "much-hyped" opening of SRK's KBC. He gave away his Tag!! i pity the guy, all that comparison to AB sr must get to him.

Agree with Orchid on this one..I think most wrote him off even before the first show aired. Like he said himself at the launch announcement-If I had to fill AB's shoes, I would need big feet indeed.
I just caught the show for a few mins and couldn't help missing AB's baritone.
He gave away his Tag..desperate times call for desperate measures.

KBC with SRK??? awwww... SRK cannot be a replacement for AB... AB is god :)

I think SRK goes overboard sometimes just to make a full of myself. I like his selfconfessed acting skills but getting into the hot seat with wardrobe designed by the King of K sagas is altogether a diff thing...

I wonder why he imitates AB or tries to...AB is not a great actor to reckon with....Sanjeev Kumar was a great actor in AB's hay times....

I can't imagine anyone filling in Big B's shoes,he had so much charisma and what a presence!I will still give credit to SRK because I'm sure he will bring in his own style into the show.I don't condemn him though at times he does tend to go overboard.I haven't watched the show but I sure will catch the first one and then pass judgement!

I think Shah-Rukh is doing a better job than Amitabh. he is calm composed and his own crazy self unlike the stiff Amitabh who was at best inspiring awe in everyone.
SRK is better dressed and warmer.
I seriously think he should give up acting ( which he isnt so good at) and take up this which he is so good at it.

saw 5 mins of it and it was enough to nauseate me!! SRK is doing what he does best - hamming! [clearly, i'm not a fan ;)] AB was just so good.....he had a huge hand in making the show popular. i wudn't be surprised if the KBC 3 ratings started plunging.

SRK gave away his Tag????? Hmmm, why does the word "desparate" come to mind?!!

oh alan- u really are a rooter of SRK arent you?

starry- could not help it

patti- so srk prompted a comment from u finally

all the rest- the one in Tamil is dubbed by someone called Sekhar and it is so FUNNY- the way he has imitated SRK's intonation- to the T

SR will know how much he hams if he listens to it
