Fair or what?

Wikipedia states that "The White Peacock is frequently mistaken for an albino, but it is a colour variety of Indian Peacock"

I certainly think that colourful is what God meant peacocks to be. Then why do you think we hanker after fairness products? ( my pet grievance for a zillion years)

would cite the oft repeated black spot on skin is beauty, white is not. on the peacock I like both & I hope the peacock community do not differentiate based on colour

It is only humans fixated with the fairness problems...

The rest of the nature is just as good in its varied colors and is a colorful feast to the eyes..

Welcome to the world of blogging...

Good luck!!!

Especially in India, fairness is a big deal. I don't know why. All the fairness products and those matrimonials, "Looking for a fair girl". I wonder at what point did we become obsessed with fairness. Did we have the same obsesion before the British raj?

I used to think I was fair while in India. was disillisioned when told by my white room-mate that I had a b'ful tan:D! it's all relative brother! or may be we are all colorblind in a way or other...
