While I do not much believe in Mothers/ Fathers Day etc, you get to be a part of some nice events. This Saturday we were at Vanilla Place for Daddy of the Jungle and Anush and Navy did an obstacle course, made a chocolate tart together, posed for photos and appeared on NDTV Hindu as well- in a blink and you miss sequence but so what. Anush of course had fun in the usual play area as well and got the mandatory tattoo. Your truly gorged on the maple cake that is found only here in Chennai as I know.
We also went to the much advertised Indian Street Food Fest at GRT and loved it. Festivals generally focus on quantity than quality. Here there were no serious ommissions except ice gola, peanut masala and roasted corn. They had a wide spread but almost all of it was yummy except the veg momos. The decor was adequate. A huge crowd had turned up, but the fantastic staff at GRT found a place for us despite us not having booked in advance!!
