Two books on a weekend

Never judge a book by its cover. Thought Andrew Davidson's The Gargoyle would be a wonderful read based on the "old much read book" look of the cover. A historical romance , the vaguest I can remember. On the plus side, I finished it in a day- so it is quick reading. Informative about burns and so on, a few inspired lines but vague and sentimental finish with a weak attempt at intrigue.

Finally read Anne Frank's father- Otto Frank's biography. Some surprises there. A good read.
Been a little out of action due to travel and ill health. Will remedy that this week.
