My mother's friend is a divorcee. For that generation, they were rare. She depended heavily on her parents for support. Her father was near immobile and her mother had suffered cancer. I often wondered what she would do once they were gone.
This morning aunty called. Her mother had passed away. Her father was inconsolable.
She would have to grow up and take care of him and herself.
I hope they find the strength to cope.

makes me wish to do something for her.. give her a job or a way to manage.. but guess each one has to fight their battles themselves
oh she is moneyed- in fact she took VRS from a very good bank job
just lazy and spoilt by her mom despite her age
But u cant but feel sad for her - now she has no emotional crutch
