Lost & Found

I never thought this could happen to some one I know.

Navy's cousin is just an Average Joe. An 18 year old, studying in college, aspires to be a CA and an MBA. Much taller than his height. Very sensible and focussed. His only quirk is he likes to wear junk chains.

He was kidnapped. Near his home, from Bangalore, this Sunday. Yes, his family is well to do but not that high profile. No, he is not into drugs or girls

The police found him yesterday in a hill station. He was in shock and was unaware of what had happened in the interim. He could not state his parents name or his own. The cops found him based on the photo sent out. For them he must have been just another lost & found.

I wonder what the boy went through. Does he even remember? Is it better forgotten? Is it a garb to secure himself? I am not sure how his parents coped those 2 nights. Must have had flash backs of all the good times with the boy, their dreams for him. Their faith must have been so shaken or would it have been reinforced and strengthened- who else can you turn to?

I am sure of one thing though- life will never be the same again for any of them, most of all for the boy.

Yes, it'll be never be the same again. I wonder how sometimes just an incident leaves a lifetime scar on the entire family. Why does it happen to us with no fault of ours.

First time here, read quite a few posts.. loved them. My best wishes for Anushka.
Will come again.

You have visited my blog, so I guess I am not new for you. :))

somehow these incidents are things which happen to other people - death, kidnapping :( poor kid.....and the poor parents! bangalore is really becoming a crazy city. for my baby's sake we're actually planning to move to a differnt city!

Kidnapping is so scary. I was really shaken by the story of the 4-year old kid who got kidnapped in Delhi

thats so scary. I always thought - it was the super-rich (like the recent Adobe VP's Son kidnapping) who had to go through this. How is the boy now? Re-united with his parents? Do they know who did this?
i hope everything gets back to normal soon - and he can tell them who did this.

That's got to be one of the worse nightmares for a parent (and the son too). Hope everyone recovers from the ordeal and that their lives get back to normal.

How traumatic for the entire family ! But guess no place is safe any more - it can happen anywhere in the world but it really shakes us up when it happens to us or someone close to us.

Are they going for some counselling ? It must be so hard for them to get back into normal routine.. sends shivers down my spine just thinking of what the parents, or for that matter, the boy must have gone through.

Such a sad state of world our children are growing up in.

Terrible. I wonder if there is an age when parents can stop feeling afraid and protective of their kids- male or female..

I hope the trauma doesn't scar him for life
