Cheers Paati!

I have been meaning to write about you for sometime. Biologically, the mom of one, a grandma of one and a great grand mom of one. But a grand old lady who is the universal "amma" to all of amma/appa's friends, "paati" to all my friends.

What do I write about - the impish smile when you say that you were called kondhai in your childhood, your hair that refuses to grey at seventy six, your dancing for Anush, your objecting to being called " paati" by Navy's father ( fair enough - he is just 10 yrs younger than you), your wonderful morekozhambu & paal paayasam, the classic moment when Navy and I were arguing and you said "Take it easy". . .

Appa will read this to you ok? (And I will tell him to do so when you are not watching Slevi or Kolamgal)

Cheers paati- you really add a lot of cheer to our life!

I have an hypothesis - Grandparents are more dynamic than parents and "Pattis" are more dynamic than "thathas".
