Blogs make a difference

The comments or the lack of them of late have made me question if this blog is ever read. I had reassurance from a couple of quarters recently.

I was most surprised by a reader from the US, who reached out and found me and called me on her trip to Des.

She was in tears as she mentioned how my posts had helped her through a rough miscarriage and now she is a mom of twins!

Am so glad to have helped in some small way, although unknowingly.
And so thankful that she took the trouble to let me know ....

Hugs. You are making a difference :)
The comments have generally gone down quite a bit.. with most people reading blogs on their mobiles, its difficult to comment.
You are one of favorite bloggers and I love reading each and every one.

I may not comment always but I do read each and every post of yours. Thanks to Google reader :)

So yes ..I know I should comment more often and I will do so.

Art, I am a long-time reader and this post prompted me to delurk. Can I just say how much I love your blog, and how often I've gotten great ideas from here- be it for books or craft or even holiday ideas (we are hoping to go to Sai Vishram this year). I live in Delhi but used to travel fairly often between the metros - checked out Vanilla Place in Chennai once thanks to your recommendation. Unfortunately my Bangalore travel has almost stopped else I would totally ask to meet you !

Yes, I, too, have been having these thoughts of late. The stats show many hits, but there are hardly any comments, so have been wondering.

You do make a large difference, Art!

Hi, I read your blog every time there's a new post. Its also lovely to look at your headers of Anush and Adi or their work. I apologise for not commenting a lot but will try to do so regularly.
I do learn few things from your blog or sometimes am just envious when you talk of the good food! :)

I commented a lot and when signed in to click on pubish it was all lost :(. This is one of the reasons why I haven't been commenting on a few of the blogs that I read and enjoy.

Oh yes, your posts definitely make a difference. We may or may not have time to comment or anything to say, but we are most certainly around :)

Do you have blog stats enabled? That way you'd know how many people viewed your post and from which country too!

Guilty. I have always had many questions on your homes, the places you visit, stories and books you author, parties you host as well as attend inspite of being a full time work away from home mom and having two kids. I read you to inpsire myself to not stop with doing my 8-something job and say I am tired of doing stuff. I have a lot of questions that I would love to ask you, but I am not sure how comfortable it would be for you to respond to a blog reader. But I love your blog.

I have been reading you from the time you were carrying Aditi :) I love the way you write, the 'happenings' in the city you share, the way you do up your home, pics of Aditi & Anushka and their gorgeous outfits! You are a multifaceted person!
Though I am a voracious reader, I am not good with words. So, 'no comments' :)
Please keep writing. Your blog is cherished.

BTW, if you don't mind can you share where you get your daughter's outfits? especially the ethnic ones. Would love to get some for my 6 year old.

Ur post made me feel really guilty ...ur blog is cherished and very well followed ... i came to ur blog thru SaffronTree a year back and have never stopped since. Everyday i looked fwd to ur posts. What i like abt each post is that its short, crisp and always inspiring and positive. Thanks to u ... I get a lot of pointers for activities .. exhibitions etc to do with the my kids. Keep up the good work !!!
I feel I really don't have anything great to say ... that is only reason for not leaving any comments.
Congrats and best wishes for ur new home and ur new venture.

Art, Love your blog. Living in Bangalore I always look forward to your updates on events and places to visit. I have a 5 year old, and often wonder which school your kids go too, as I am currently looking for a big school for my older one, and you seem to love the school that they are in. Please do keep up the good work :-)
