A few Goan churches...

We shortlisted and visited :

Basilica of Bom Jesus, Old Goa: Awe inspiring size and wood work coated with gold. The exterior in brick is also fascinating and we took a guide who was very informative. Anush kept exclaiming" I saw a real dead body" to all who asked about her Goa trip.

Chapel of St. Catherine, Old Goa or the Se Cathedral Church: Dedicated to St. Catherine, it also holds the "miracle" working cross and a golden bell that is not gold. We found the chandelier and paintings and the royal chapel enclosure very beautiful here. The gruesome stage by stage killing of St Catherine was not something I wanted Anushka to hear but she was not too bothered by it!

Church of Our Lady of Rosary is a spectacular looking church and is part of Old Goa which is a Heritage site in itself.
