I have two sets of Marapachi bommais. This is the smaller, more embellished version.I understand these dolls are critical to have in traditional Golus. In the days of child marriage, I suppose these dolls served as a reminder of her parents' place- these dolls were/ are usually handed over during marriage by mothers to their daughters.
