The curious case of...

a girl who enjoys school but hates going to it

- the ride with her father is joyous
- there is a lot of reassurance from all
- school is great fun and engaging
- she returns happy and says she will not cry the next morning
- she enjoys preparing for school at night

But come morning, she is nervous, tense and terribly reluctant to go .
She has even invited a cold on herself .

I remind myself that I was blue every school morning even in the higher classes
She is not yet even five but it breaks my heart to see her cry.

Awww...some kids are slower to adjust to changes...you're doing great. Maybe she needs to let off the tension by crying? I guess once she makes friends, she'll be more cheerful. Till then, HUGS to both of you

Hugs to both of you! My brother's older one is also very slow in adapting to changes. He took some time adjusting to his new school but now is an acer on all fronts in the school. Maybe with time she will be fine! Did you try to find out what might be bothering her? Maybe that will give you more fodder to ease her fears...just a thought..

:(

Here's wishing that she starts liking it soon. May she is afraid of her teachers?

oh i do nto wish to over quiz her but we find that she likes her teachers, already has friends and enjoys the work at school

in fact this school is more expressive in terms of affection

hopefully this phase will get over soon....
