Growing up Mom

Four years ....I thought I was THE person in Anush's life.
This morning to school, she shut me out. She insisted that her paati ( my mom) give her a bath and get her ready for school. Something unheard of .

I was cheesed off ( mature that I am) and asked her why? She said she loved her paati and that she wanted her to do stuff for her. Probably as an after thought ( lest I shed copious tears ) she said she loved me too and gave a smile and rushed away.

********
Today Anush's teacher seems to have asked her if she was prepared to stay longer at school . Anush, all grown up that she is, of course said yes. ( she stays only 3 hours as of now).
I NEED TO GROW UP. ... at least before the second baby comes over .....some one said something about humble pie....it has come sooner than expected.

  3. That is so so sweet! But yes, I know what you mean about letting them do their own thing and not getting offended :)

BTW meant to tell you that D loves the stories of Mr. Muthu - I read them and then told her the same thing in my own words (with embellishments)

  8. LOL. Theyre growing up too soon on us. I dont like this. Its a conspiracy theory. Theyre supposed to want us to do everything for them for the rest of their lives, right????

  9. LOL! I know how it feels. With both Paatis around for Adu, I face this quite often. I'm quite used to it now. Yeah, it hurt badly the first time...
