2008 has surely begun as a year of promise. The much talked about TATA one lakh car for the common man was launched and aptly christened “Nano”.
Inevitably there will be parallels drawn against the Maruti 800 but let us be fair- those times were different.

I am not sure if this is good or bad. Don't take me wrong but I feel this will create more chaos in the existing full to the seams roads. Its good that anyone will be able to afford this car but somehow not sure of the overall impact it will have.

also better to have fewer bikes ( which I deem more unsafe)

ReplyDeleteWhile I too worry about the traffic congestion it will cause, I also feel very elitist for feeling that way because to say that is a valid argument is to say that only the affluent should be allowed to drive cars...
yes, definitely worth a look I think ! But I do shudder at the congestions and levels of pollution. I think I will actually try the MRTS !! Very jealous that hubby is going to see it at auto expo but very very glad that he won't get to test ride it !!!BTW what do you think about the estillo now that you have it and drive it ?

ReplyDeleteThe Tata Nano made the Sunday morning news show here in the USA today. They quoted $2500 USD as the price for the car. Interesting press release on the Tata link.
